Mike Goes Hunting

Here is a photo of Mike and Dad - look closely. I'm sure you can't really see them because they are wearing camo but if you look hard enough, you can see the faces. Dad took Mike deer hunting for the first time this weekend. While they didn't have any luck with the wildlife, they had fun and spent a lot of time together.

We also celebrated "fake Thanksgiving." This is what I called it because we celebrated Thanskgiving early with the family. It was fun and this year, I think mom really outdid herself. Vegetarians need not dine at our house - there were 4 different meat selections on the table - try any less than all 4 and you'll insult the cook. However, I have learned that my mom probably has not purchased any tupperware since I left the house in 1997. Bring your own tupperware to haul home the leftovers or you'll be searching through old margarine tubs and cool whip bowls for an hour trying to match up lids.

It was great seeing my grandparents. They're both doing well and enjoyed themselves (probably too much - Yes, Pop, we saw you stealing extra bites of country ham. That's not good for you!).

Also, I got the chance to get to know my brother's girlfriend, Taunya and have some laughs with her. No wonder mom likes her so much. She's awesome. Something like supermodel plus supermom with a sense of humor and a talent for finding great bargains. What's not to love?
