At Last - Good News!

I have some great news to share about my grandfather (Pop). He has been recovering by leaps and bounds and is now at home, not in pain, and getting back to his old self again! Last week, none of us would have believed it, and we were all prepared for the worst - even Pop himself. The doctors were extremely candid with my mother about just how critical the situation was. But amazing things happen. His doctors put dissolvable "filters" into his body to filter out blood clots (a process I still do not completely understand). They had to also treat him for massive internal bleeding with clotting drugs. And he was given many units of blood and some units of plasma. His organs were finally able to get the oxygen and nourishment needed and began to recover. My family calls this a miracle and attributes this to the amazing power of prayer. In whatever capacity this healing is occurring, I'm just so glad it has. I'm thankful for all of the thoughts and prayers that went out to him. And I am so glad that Pop is not in pain, and that he is able to rest at home with my grandmother where he belongs. It looks like we just might get to help him celebrate his 85th birthday soon.
